Kathy & Peter Hnat's 1969 Chevelle

We purchased the car at the 2005 Spring Auto Fair at Charlotte Motor Speedway (formerly Lowe's). The car has undergone some restoration work by the previous owners, but is mostly stock. It has a 396 engine with an automatic transmission. A title search was done and found out the car is a "North Carolina" car since it left the dealership. The original owner purchased it from Carpenter's Inc. in Durham (currently Hendrick Chevrolet) and owned it for 31 years.

David Ward Jone's 1960 Impala Sports Coupe “Ghost Ride”

I call this beauty “Ghost Ride”, because it is a replica of the first car I bought in 1962 when I was discharged from the USAF. However, my first car did not have Power Steering, Cruise control and AC. The Exterior is Ermine White with a Tuxedo Black accent stripe. The interior paint and carpet is Roman Red and upholstery has Red Seat and Side Panel Trim with Red and White Herringbone inserts. The body is highlighted by the original design Chevy Spinner Wheel Covers, Bumper Fins and Front Fender Fins, Fender Skirts and dual rear Antennas. It is powered by the popular 283ci engine with a 2-barrel carburetor and a Two-Speed Power Glide Transmission. Factory optioned equipment includes Power Steering, All Weather AC System, Vacuum Assisted Power Brakes, Cruise Control (1st year offered by Chevy).

It is a matching numbers, restored original car and all part are original or correct with some safety exceptions. There was 95,558 miles on the car at point of purchase. I saw this car on e-bay and after it didn’t sell, I purchased it from the third owner in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and drove it 770 miles back to Raleigh. After getting it home, I rebuilt the Suspension, Engine, Transmission, AC System, Repainted the Exterior and Replaced the Interior. The Body was Soda Stripped and exhibited no evidence of Collision damage and no rust.

Ralph and Linda DeMichele's
1966 Chevelle ss396 clone

Well here she is, a 1966 Chevelle ss396 clone that Linda and I bought locally. It took 2 months to get the title as it had
A Kentucky title and the new NC '30' year Law took effect Jan 1st
2008 We finally got her home and went right at it, cleaning and
replacing this and that. Got a new paint job in October 2008, marina blue metallic which made a huge difference in appearance.
Future plans ..... maybe a 396 with a 700r4 Trans.
After being away from the car scene for 3 years its great to be back! We really missed it.

Noel & Sara Lanier's 1968 Camaro

Noel and Sara Lanier of Raleigh purchased this frame-up, completely restored 1968 Camaro RS/SS clone in February 2007, believe it or not, from a luxury import dealer in Raleigh. This 1st generation Camaro was headed to the famed Barrett-Jackson auction had Sara not found it "For Sale" while "surfing" the web for their dream muscle car. The Butternut Yellow Camaro still has its original interior and working Delco AM radio. Originally a 6cyl., it now sports a mightier 8cyl., small block 350ci, as well as power disc brakes. AND, the RS hideaway headlights really work. It doesn't see the road too often, but hopes to see a lot of new faces at the PCCC events. It proudly made its 1st public appearance on New Years Day 2008 at the Grill '57 Cruise In.

John and Mary Gilliam are the proud original owners of this 1972, first generation, Monte Carlo. Used as the family car many years, John decided in 1996 to restore the car and started showing it. A little engine and interior work and a fresh coat of 065 Flame Orange paint was about all it took.

John and Mary drove it to Nashville Tennessee in 2002 to the National Monte Carlo Show where it won 1st place in the First Generation restored original class. We are members of the National Monte Carlo Owners Association as well.  We have traveled 190,000 + miles together and have enjoyed everyone.

Floyd and Peggy   Barnes
1916   The Barnes' Model 490 1916 Chevy

Here is Floyd and Peggy Barnes 1916 Model 490 Chevrolet. 490 was also the price for this Chevy when New. Floyd has just completed the restoration of this car within the past year or so and is now proudly showing it.
Nice work Floyd.

1954   Chevy Bel Air Hardtop

With a '54 chevy, I had to lobby for membership, pleading that my "shoebox" hardtop was not "early iron". It is a colorful cruiser that the young gals loved while checking the drive-ins. Even so, it is our club's "Black Sheep". In its day, it won AACA Junior, Senior, and Preservation. It still trophies in most shows.

Robert and Lois   Copeland
1955   Chevrolet 2nd Series Pickup Truck

Purchased in 1988, three previous owners, all in North Carolina. We planned to use the truck as an occasional driver until my wife and son used it to haul a load of horse manure for the flower beds. That night (after taking the bed off so it would not be used for THAT STUFF again) began 12 years of restoration which was completed in 2000.

Charlie & Brenda   Kaleel
1955   Chevy Belair Sport Coupe

This car has 85,000 actual miles, 30 year old paint, and a New Corvette 350 Power. It is Onyx black. I have owned this car for 10 years. When I bought it, the paint was badly faded and it had mag wheels. I added original wheels, wide whitewall tires, and a Continental kit. After a number of wax jobs, the paint started coming around and now she looks just great. The car is driven daily, goes anywhere and everywhere, rain or shine. The picture is from the UNC-TV Festival 2001.

1955   Belair Convertible-Pride and Joy

This is our Pride and Joy 55 Belair Convertible. This car was a "basket case" and took nearly seven years to restore. Work was done by my two brother-in-laws to whom I will forever be grateful. The car is restored "original" and has a 265V8 PP with Powerglide tranny, PS, PB, Power Seat, Power Windows, Wonderbar Radio, Continental Kit, Accessory Bumpers, Accessory Grille Guard, Optional Mouldings, and more. All brand spankin new. One of the finest 55 Chevy's in existence. The car has won many Best GM, Participants Choice and Best of Show awards. At the June 2003 Bowtie/Late Great Chevy National Convention in Charlotte the car won a First Place Original Restored, Gold Cerificate with a score of 987.
